what do you think of people leaving their garbage shacks on the ice, to sink and create hazards to boats and other fishermen, some people just wreck things for everyone. soon you will need a license to have a fish shack. way to go you idiots.

If the government has to remove the shacks you can bet the cost of that removal will be added onto your fishing licenses. Another alternative is, as you pointed out, to have all perminant type shacks (the kind left on the ice throughout the winter) licensed and when you are checked by a C.O. you must produce that license or be charged. A type of metal license could be issued that attaches to the shack. That way the C.O. can take a photo of it for future reference. If the shack is left on the ice past a certain date in March it will be removed at the owner's expense. It won't affect the responsible shack owners and might curb the abusers.
