Hey Potsy - Don't punish Darrell's son because Darrell can't spell - make Darrell sleep with YOU & Blackwater !!! By the end of the weekend, Darrell will be taking English night courses just so that he never has to endure that punishment again !!!

Good to hear you're gonna make it Darrell... As the dates get closer, you can let us know when you expect to arrive up there... That way, if you are bringing up your monster motor home, we can save you a spot close to where you parked last time... Best to keep the larger units over on that side of the site...

darrell--when you get inside the group site we will have signs to help you out with parking---we know you have difficulty with directions
hope we start getting snow and rain for spring--this area already under a fire ban for the last month--and it's only February

Holy Cow Darrell - build a hundred bridges and they don't call you a bridge builder BUT miss one lousy turnoff and get lost and you never hear the end of it !!!

104 days left & counting... Sure hope there is plenty of snow up north so the lake won't be too low this year... Anyone have any thoughts on that ???

Blackwater shows up down here for a week - so we will be discussing strategy on how to make sure all the winning fish come from our boat !!!

Other than that - things are good down here / enjoying the warm dry weather / hope to get out on the water soon when the renos are done this week...

Chow for now...

104 days? Good lord it is coming up fast.

Not sure on snow depths up around Wabasca but Hinton and Jasper east of the townsite have zippo for snow. Edmonton has very little. Lets hope for some April/May showers else we all might be fighting forest fires there.

Ya, that would SUCK if there was another year with little water !!! Nothing fun about camping without having a fire going !!! But even more concerning, like you mention, is the forest fire hazard !!! Fingers crossed for some good rains in April and May - stopping of course on June 01st for two weeks !!!

Darrel darrel and Larry!!!! Not to worry, I'll get Bluesky to drop me off in Westlock, you can pick me up, then I'll navigate you to the campsite, AND I'll back-up and park your trailer for ya!!!
By the time the two of us are done will will awaken in Moosejaw!! ( probably catch more fish there)!!
Bluesky, You and Blackwater discussing strategy????? If he's in your boat you don't need strategy, he has
enough horse shoes to fill the boat with fish!!
Got a tip from a guy at work tonight for all you guys that like Sports, check out this website, www.sportsbun.com. apparantly it provides FREE pay for view on-line for things like U.F.C. etc. or any other sport you like, I checked it this morning, and am getting up early to watch the cricket match between Botswana and Trinidad Tobago!!

Potsy - you better stock up on the coffee as those cricket games take 3 to 5 DAYS to complete !!! There goes your days off !!!

As for Blackwater putting fish in the boat - only if he leaves the hooks on the lures this year !!! Also, there will be lots of swapping around who is going to fish with who this year, so I don't want to give him too many of my secrets to share with everyone else !!! Then again, I've never won the derby, so maybe my secrets suck ??? But I do have FUN and I do catch lots of fish - so it's a WIN / WIN for everyone !!!

My secrets for catching the WINNING walleye might suck (I admit that) but my keeping friends happy by catching high numbers of fish each day certainly DOESN'T suck !!! If my computer would allow me to post pics to PhotoBucket, I'm sure I could put a few up of you with your rod bent over with a fish on !!!

:P

Yeah most years that was true, EXCEPT the dismal FLOP at Rock Island the 2nd year!! You guys slayed them the first year, and then everything went south when Blackwater and I showed up!!
Oh well, the one thing I will never forget from that year was Blackwater, myself, and whitewater fishing on the far side of the lake, we were discussing making a fishing show staring Johnny Blackwater, I swear to god we laughed so hard for about 2 hours that my stomach hurt all night!! If anyone has a video camera, bring it, and I'll record an episode of Johnny Blackwaters great fishing expidition!! Woild probably get about a million hits on U-Tube!!
